Italian is a preferred language for our younger students! It's an excellent way for them to grasp concepts related to learning a Romance language, which can serve as a tool for learning other Romance languages and more.
CELI 1-3 Adolescents (Certificazione di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana): Exams from the University of Perugia aimed at children aged 12-18. The difference is that the topics and exercises are more suitable for children. They follow the same exam pattern and correspond to the same language proficiency levels as the CELI 1-3 exams, up to level B2.
PLIDA Juniors (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri): Exams from the University of Rome aimed at children aged 12-18. These exams also follow the pattern of the corresponding PLIDA exams for adults but with topics tailored to candidates of this age and covering levels A1 to B2.

PLIDA for Kids (Juniors): Since 2004, PLIDA exams (A1, A2, B1, B2) have been conducted every June and October for students up to 17 years old.
PLIDA Certifications: PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) is a certificate whose exams are organized by the Dante Alighieri Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Rome 'La Sapienza.' It certifies language proficiency according to the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching and consists of 4 parts of exams certifying the basic skills: listening comprehension (ascoltare), reading comprehension (leggere), writing (scrivere), and speaking (parlare). The exams take place in Athens and Thessaloniki in May or June (depending on the level) and October or November (depending on the level). PLIDA certifications consist of 5 levels for adults and 3 for teenagers.
CELI Certifications: CELI (Certificazione di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana) is a certificate consisting of 5 levels: CELI Impatto, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Each level is a separate exam and can be taken independently, provided that the candidate has the corresponding level of knowledge. CELI exams are organized by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, which is a member of ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe), in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching. They are held in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patras. These exams are internationally recognized and take place three times a year for levels 1, 2, and 3: June, November, and March, and twice a year for levels 4 and 5: June and November. CELI certifications consist of 6 levels for adults and 3 for teenagers (Celi 1, Celi 2, Celi 3). Candidates have the right to retake one of the two parts in case of overall failure for one year.
