Spanish for Adults

In Greece, the DELE escolar exams are held during the month of May, in Athens and Thessaloniki.

The DELE A1 certification demonstrates the holder's ability to respond and communicate in simple situations related to everyday topics at basic level. It corresponds to the first step in the scale of Spanish certificates.

The DELE A2 certificate demonstrates the ability of its holder to respond to specific everyday situations. It corresponds to the ability to use routine phrases and expressions that are frequently used and are related to areas of personal experience: basic information, family, shopping, places of interest, occupations, etc.

The DELE B1 certificate demonstrates effective but still limited knowledge of the language. Its holder has the language skills required to communicate in the event of a trip to any Spanish-speaking country, to talk about their interests and future plans, and to give short explanations. The holder is also able to produce both spoken and written language in a structured manner.

The DELE B2 certificate demonstrates the language ability required to cope at a satisfactorily level in everyday situations that do not require specialised knowledge of the language and to be able to respond fluently. The holder understands the main ideas of a complex text and can participate in general conversations with clarity and detail, expressing their views with supporting arguments.

The DELE C1 certification demonstrates competency in handling the language and certifies the linguistic ability required to be able to express oneself spontaneously and fluently on a range of topics.

The DELE C2 certification demonstrates the language ability required to cope with situations that require a very advanced use of the Spanish language and knowledge of its culture. The DELE C2 holder is able to understand the main ideas of a complex text and participate in general conversations fluently and accurately
