Description of exams for diplomas:

  • ТЭУ (A1):

LINGUISTIC LEVEL The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the Russian language at a basic level. They should be able to express themselves orally and in writing on very simple everyday topics.

EXAM PARTS Written examination: listening comprehension, written expression, comprehension of written texts, grammar, and vocabulary. Oral examination

  • ТБУ (A2):

LINGUISTIC LEVEL The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the Russian language at a basic level. They should be able to express themselves correctly, both orally and in writing, on simple everyday topics.

EXAM PARTS Written examination: listening comprehension, written expression, comprehension of written texts, grammar, and vocabulary. Oral examination

  • ТРКИ (TRKI):

LINGUISTIC LEVEL The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the Russian language at a good basic level. They should be able to express themselves correctly, both orally and in writing, on all everyday topics.

EXAM PARTS Written examination: listening comprehension, written expression, comprehension of written texts, grammar, and vocabulary. Oral examination

Significance of the examination In the private and public professional sectors, the examination is globally recognized as evidence of a good knowledge of the Russian language. The Certificate of Language Proficiency at level B1 is necessary for admission to Russian universities.

  • ТРКИ 2 (B2):

LINGUISTIC LEVEL The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the Russian language at an intermediate level. They should be able to express themselves correctly, both orally and in writing, on various topics and understand authentic texts of moderate difficulty. It is considerably more challenging than B1.

EXAM PARTS Written examination: listening comprehension, written expression, comprehension of written texts, grammar, and vocabulary. Oral examination

Significance of the examination Recognized by the job market as evidence of very good knowledge of Russian in general topics.

  • ТРКИ 3 (C1):

LINGUISTIC LEVEL The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the Russian language at an advanced level. They should be able to express themselves correctly, both orally and in writing, on any topics and understand authentic texts of high difficulty. It is considerably more challenging than B2 and requires thorough preparation.

EXAM PARTS Written examination: listening comprehension, written expression, comprehension of written texts, grammar, and vocabulary. Oral examination

  • ТРКИ 4 (C2):

LINGUISTIC LEVEL The highest level of proficiency in the Russian language as a foreign language. It demonstrates knowledge almost on par with a native speaker and provides a high level of proficiency.

EXAM PARTS Written examination: essay, summary, questions on literary works, written responses to text-based questions, linguistic structural elements, reading of authentic literary texts and newspapers, listening to television and radio broadcasts and news, excerpts from films. Oral examination: presentation by the candidate on a topic followed by a discussion.

Significance of the examination Recognized by the job market as evidence of very advanced knowledge of Russian in general topics.
